Why We Built This Site
Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 34 begins with public access to court records, subject to sealing, confidentiality, and other lawful limits. Finding the custodian is often the harder step. Lisa Simmons, Lincoln County Circuit Court Clerk, keeps Circuit, Criminal, General Sessions, and Juvenile clerical records. Rebecca N. Bartlett Carpenter, Clerk & Master, serves Chancery and probate. Tennessee Public Case History covers appellate courts rather than every local trial case. We arrange these distinctions, official contacts, request methods, and search limits in one place.
What You Will Find Here
- Docket guides: how criminal docket searches and civil docket searches route through Lincoln County offices
- Court settings: how to read court dates and verify a hearing with the responsible clerk
- Case lookups: how a case lookup differs at the trial and appellate levels
- Copies: how a court record search leads to inspection, plain copies, or certification
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site with no affiliation to a Tennessee court, clerk, or government agency. Its limits are clear:
- We cannot pull an official docket sheet or case file for anyone
- We cannot change, reschedule, or reset a court date or hearing setting
- We cannot remove, seal, or amend a case on any docket
- We cannot issue certified copies of any docket, order, or court document
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or setting listed on this site is current right now
Only the clerk of court or the trial court that heard the case can issue an official or certified copy of a docket sheet or court record. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
Search Partners
Outside providers power search boxes shown on some pages. Each provider controls its service, pricing, results, and privacy terms. A paid signup may produce a referral fee that supports operation of this resource. We do not set partner charges or determine the records returned.
